Reflections

The world is a funny place. You never get what you want when you want it, and when you do, you don't really need it anymore; by the time you need it again you have already lost it and when you lose it you come to know what it was really worth.

The beauty of the festive season never fails to fascinate me. It's like being reborn. Last year I spent my last puja with my mother. Had I known it would be our last festive season together, I would probably have done things in a better way. Probably, I would have given in to her craving for visiting the famed temple at Kalighat, where I eventually cremated her. I now wish I had. I miss her.
